Of course, after my previous post about having no snow, it snowed. Not much mind you, but it still managed to snow all day yesterday (and be foggy). Most of it has melted now, only standing on the roofs and hills. But that is okay, at least I can order pizza (the hill I live on is such a pain, that as long as there is snow, people won't deliver and I don't blame them).
Saturday we finally went out to see my family. I was so happy to see one of their pups as we almost had to put her down. Luckily, we were able to figure out a way to help her so she could live, she is the sweetest puppy I know.
While out there, we also got to hang out and play cards. The game we played was awesome though I was losing most the game. That's okay though, I'm used to that. I almost always loose games. What was nice about this one was after a while, I was able to pull ahead a bit (more from other people getting bad hands than from me doing well). I think that it is called Phase 10, which that makes me realize we should have been calling them 'phases' instead of 'tiers'...
Sunday we worked on the apartment a bit. We got a good portion of the Christmas decorations packed up. Now we just need a box or something to get everything officially packed up. It is so much easier to get chores down when we both do them at the same time. There is no excuses then!
Another thing that really helps is setting alarms. I used to do the "well, I'll start cleaning at this time" But then if I missed it, even by five minutes, I would tell myself "Well, missed that chance, now I'll start at This time." So now I give myself time limits instead. I set a timer for an hour and I can do anything I want during that time. Then I set it for 20 or 30 minutes and I have to work during that time. I also make sure that the alarm is somewhere across the room so that I have to stop and get up. Then it is easy to switch to chores cause I'm already up.
I think I might do that routine again today but we will see. For now, I'm going to go curl up and read!
Until next time; may your day be wonderful!
